The latest celebrity meltdown being played out in the media is that of actor Charlie Sheen. Celebrity watchers and gossip sites have been having a field day keeping up with his antics. For some it’s like watching a loved one slide down a path of destruction without knowing how to help.
Celebs are loved for various reasons, sometimes when they start doing the weirdest things. Despite the current train wreck that is Sheen’s life, many fans still love him. Some of these reasons are understandable, others not so clear.
He Says What He Has to Say
One thing is certain, Charlie Sheen isn’t afraid to say what’s on his mind. Added to this is the fact that much of what he says is rather funny, even if that is not his intention. Even if he comes across as a little bizarre some fans still support him.
He Does What Makes Him Happy
Many of Sheen’s fans admire the fact that he does what makes him happy regardless of the consequences. Possibly, it allows them to live vicariously through him as he does some of the things they wished they could do. Some people admit however that his lifestyle is pretty reckless.
He is Entertaining
Yes, Sheen is quite funny and seems to enjoy being the life of the party. His acting abilities have earned him many fans, but his comedic work on Two and a Half Men has helped build an even larger fan base. In addition, whether they feel sorry for him or not, many people are entertained by his seemingly drug fueled rants.
Even though it was expected, Sheen’s fans are unhappy about him being fired from his hit sitcom. Many of them are concerned about his future wellbeing and are hoping for some kind of intervention. As CBS grapples with the idea of replacing him, it is clear the show won’t be the same without him.
